MY FIRST MODEL Y

Volume Studios worked with Radio Flyer & the Tesla Design Studio on the My First Model Y ride-on toy.  This foot-powered mini Model Y is ergonomically designed for kids 1.5 - 4 years and features a horn and working steering.

After the initial concept sketch phase, we started with the actual Model Y 3D CAD data provided by Tesla, massaging and re-proportioning it to hit the critical functional & ergonomic dimensions.  We then rebuilt sections of the vehicle for manufacturability and created several new parts to simplify and enhance the design.  We delivered the final 3D design CAD model and worked with the engineering team to refine it as it was prepped for production.
